  • I will contact New Concept Staffing Services as soon as I am aware that I am going to be late for an assignment or cannot make it to an assignment. You must call, text or email your recruiter immediately.
Please DO NOT leave a message on our office voicemail.
  • I understand that excessive absences and/or tardiness may be grounds for my assignment being terminated.
  • Please be advised that if you are absent from your assignment for 3 or more days, corporate policy requires that you submit a doctor’s note explaining your absence. Please inform us of the situation and your expected time/date of return.
  • New Concept Staffing Services must be informed at least 24 hours in advance of any time off you need for appointments such as doctors, dentists, etc. I understand that I must request days off through New Concept Staffing Services first, NOT the company you are working at. This can be communicated via email, text or telephone.
  • New Concept Staffing Services requires at least 1 week (5 business days) professional notice if you need to leave an assignment prior to the scheduled end date.
  • If you are trying to make up missed hours by working over 8 hours a day and your supervisor approves of this, you must make up the hours in the same week. Please note on your timecard stating, “I am making up missed hours and would like the hours to be paid as straight time”.
  • In California, non-exempt employees who work over 5.0 hours in a day must be provided at least a 30-minute unpaid meal break. If the employee works for 6 or fewer hours, then the meal break can be waived through mutual written consent of both the supervisor and the employee.
  • If you are working over 10 hours in a day, you are entitled to a second 30-minute unpaid meal break. If the total workday is less than 12 hours, then the second meal break can be waived, which requires the written and mutual consent of both the supervisor and the employee.
  • You cannot skip your meal break in order to leave work early.
